WHAT WE DISCUSSED

Organization fair-

we’ll be having a booth for the organization fair in the quad.

Trick or Eat

Halloween-Tues. Oct. 31- we’ll be having our annual trick or eat, where we fan out into the north end of Boise and go trick or eating – asking for food instead of candy and passing out propaganda. Amanda volunteered her house as headquarters for this event.

Can for kids

Proceeds for this year’s can for kids (where we have people sit on a toilet in the quad to raise money for kids) will be going to Salud Y Provecho, a sub-group of the Idaho Migrant Council. For more information about Salud Y Provencho, contact Becky at 323-6080.

Arbiter-

The arbiter has given IPSA members an opportunity to print their views. Contact Sean Hayes at 345-8204

Farm worker minimum wage

Chair: Leo. Leo met with highschool students and proposes outreach to high school students via educating them on this issue. One idea: meeting between Dirk Kempthorne and high school students. Contact Leo 426 4603

The goal of this campaign is to change how boise state uses boise cascade products.

We might want to pressure Boise Cascade on their old growth destruction/harvest
