Problems?
Life in Idaho is not always a gem. In fact, the picture can sometimes look pretty bleak.
Skyrocketing tuition and drop-out rates, a lack of affordable child care, nuclear waste dumps in
our backyard, racism and hate crimes, species
on the brink of extinction and widening divisions
between rich and poor are all issues we must face every day..
Generation X?
Some people, those who got us into this mess
in the first place, want us to believe that we are
apathetic, uncaring students. But we are not apathetic, we have been made powerless.
The IPSA wants to take the power back!!
As students, we are the leaders of tomorrow. Like it or not, we will have to deal with the world
as it has been left to us. We better get educated, we better get activated, and we
better get organized!
Our Mission
The Idaho Progressive Student Alliance (IPSA) works for social, economic, and environmental
justice acknowledging the interconnections of all issues, political movements, and life. We
stand against oppression in all of its forms. We
work to give students the information, training, opportunity, and spirit they need to create a
sustainable tomorrow.
Our Story
Founded in 1998 at Boise State University, the
IPSA brought together student leaders from a variety of high schools and universities to lay
the foundation for a statewide student power coalition. This year the IPSA is seeking to
expand to all corners of the state and connect the thousands of young minds working for a
better tomorrow.
